Rotaero B.V. is a new Dutch developer and manufacturer of advanced Wankel (rotary) engines, continuing a proven design heritage spanning decades. Originating from pioneering cleaner, high-performance alternatives to traditional two-stroke kart racing engines in the 1990s, this expertise has grown to support a wide range of applications—including manned and unmanned aircraft, helicopters, boats, vehicles, and generators.
Our rotary engines are prized for their low vibration, compact design, smooth, robust torque delivery, and reduced emissions. Backed by a history of thousands of units sold and hundreds of thousands of reliable operating hours, our engineering lineage has earned a reputation for durability and performance in demanding environments.

Coming from diverse backgrounds — from UAV airframe design to advanced engine development and aerospace systems engineering — we saw the potential to build something better, lighter, and more capable.
